Elena Produnova was a favorite to win a handful of medals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but a foot injury prevented her from competing in the all-around and hampered her efforts in qualifying to the individual events. She did make the beam final, however. Not traditionally one of her best events, she managed to win the bronze medal with a fantastic performance, capped off with a stuck double front dismount.
